The Italian Sports Industry: Past & Present

Italy’s sporting legacy, stretching from the Colosseum to the modern era, provided a compelling backdrop for our collaboration with Linfield University. By working closely with their faculty, we crafted a program that delved into the heart of the Italian sporting industry, connecting students with its most influential figures.

Students gained unprecedented access to the stories and insights of Italian sports leaders, from the Italian Volleyball and Judo Federations to the owners of Parma Football Club and members of the International Olympic Committee. Beyond administrative perspectives, they immersed themselves in interactive experiences, receiving a fencing lesson from an Olympic gold medalist and curling lessons at Milan's premier club.

This immersive journey transcended traditional learning, fostering significant personal and professional growth. Students returned with a nuanced understanding of the global sports landscape, enhanced cultural competency, and expanded professional networks. They developed adaptability and resilience, navigating a new culture while engaging with high-profile industry figures. The experience ignited a passion for international sports management and empowered them to bring the knowledge they obtained in Italy back to their sports communities at home.
